App Review Guidelines

The app has changed the world, enriches people's lives, and enables developers like you. As a result, the App Store has grown into an exciting and lively ecosystem for millions of developers and more than 1 billion users. We strongly support users with different opinions and, as long as the quality of the app experience is wonderful, the App Store expresses all views. New rules may arise at any time as new apps present new questions. Your app may be the catalyst. We love this stuff too and respect what you do. We are doing our best to create the best platform in the world for you to express your talents and make a living.

Before You Submit

To help your app get approved as smoothly as possible, please review the following common incorrect steps that slow down the review process or trigger a rejection. This does not replace the guidelines or guarantee approval, but it is a good start to make sure you can check off all the items on the list. 1. Safety

When people install an app from the App Store, they want to be confident that the app is safe: it doesn't contain content that is upsetting or offensive, won't damage their device, and won't cause physical harm to anyone who uses it. We've summarized the main pitfalls below, but apps that shock or offend people aren't suitable for the App Store. Some of these rules are also included in Notarization for iOS and iPadOS apps.

Apps that contain user-generated content or services that are primarily used for pornographic content, Chatroulette-style experiences, objectification of real people (e. g., "cool" or "not hot" polls), physical intimidation, or bullying are not appropriate for the App Store and may be removed without notice. If your app contains user-generated content from a web-based service, you may incidentally display mature "NSFW" content, provided that the content is hidden by default and only appears if the user turns it on via your website.

1. 2. 1 Creator Content Apps that feature content from a specific community of users, known as "creators," are a great opportunity if managed properly. Such apps provide a single, unified experience for customers to engage with various types of creator content. They provide tools and programs to help a community of non-developer creators author, share, and monetize user-generated experiences. These experiences must not alter the core features and functionality of the native app. These experiences are not native "apps" coded by developers, but content within the app itself, and are treated as user-generated content for the purposes of App Review. Such creator content can include videos, articles, audio, and even casual games. The App Store supports apps that offer such user-generated content, as long as they follow all guidelines, including Guideline 1. 2 "Moderating User-Generated Content" and Guideline 3. 1. 1 "Payments and In-App Purchases." Creator apps should share the age rating of the highest creator content available within the app and tell users which content requires additional purchase.

Apps must clearly disclose the data and methods that support accuracy claims about health measurements, and we will reject apps if the level or method of accuracy cannot be verified. 2. Performance

(v) They may not request elevation to root privileges or use the setuid attribute.
(vi) Your app may not display a license screen at launch, require a license key, or implement any proprietary copy protection.
(vii) Your app must use the Mac App Store to distribute updates.
(VIII) Apps must be operated on the current OS shipped, and do not use the technologies (such as Java) installed in a no n-recommended or option.
(IX) Apps must include all languages and localization support in a single app bundle.

Apple customers value products that are simple, elegant, innovative, and easy to use. 4. Design

(c) All account creation and management must be initiated from the host device.
(d) The UI displayed on the client does not resemble that of iOS or the App Store, does not provide a store-like interface, and does not include the ability for the user to browse, select, or purchase software that is not already owned or licensed by the user. To be clear, transactions that occur within the mirrored software do not need to use in-app billing as long as they are processed on the host device.
(e) Thin clients for cloud-based applications are not appropriate for the App Store.
(a) Do not create multiple bundle IDs for the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting one app and offering the variations using in-app billing.

(b) Also, avoid adding an app to a category that is already saturated. Raccoon Bundles
