The agreement was ratified by the Florida Legislature on May 19, 2021. Governor Ron DeSantis signed the agreement on May 25, 2021.

The U. S. Department of the Interior must approve the gaming compact. The department will make its decision within 45 days of Governor DeSantis' signature.
