MISSOURI, USA - Missourians spend billions of dollars every year in the hopes of getting rich quick.

They buy lottery tickets, play casino games, draw bingo cards.

And increasingly, they play games of questionable legality at convenience stores, truck stops and small gaming parlors.

Everyone in the industry believes people would spend more if they had the chance. No player chasing these new markets wants others to play their games.

The major professional league teams, who are now united behind the sports betting initiative petition, don't want to be legislatively paired with promoters of legal video lottery games.

"The problem is that video lottery players are small-dollar gamblers, and video lottery games compete directly with slot machines, the small bets gamblers might make during sporting events, said Andy Arnold, lobbyist for the Missouri Coalition for Video Lottery. "The casinos don't want to give anyone outside of the casino the opportunity to play, Arnold said, and even if they could participate in the opportunity, they want to control everything." Vendors of gaming machines installed in convenience stores and truck stops don't want the law changed because it could kill their business. Torch Electronics and Warrenton Oil have made large campaign contributions to influence gambling politics and are using legal means to block any decision that would firmly brand what they call "gray market" machines as illegal.

Last month, Cole County Judge Daniel Green dismissed a lawsuit aimed at blocking a criminal investigation of the company's machines by the Missouri Highway Patrol, closing an avenue for Torch. An appeal is pending, but the case could be revived, not resolved.

Several criminal cases are also pending, some involving Torch machines, but no trials are scheduled until the spring.

So the question of whether and how to expand gambling will be before lawmakers and, perhaps, voters themselves through the petition process.

At the AFC Championship Game in January at Arrowhead Stadium, hundreds of spectators tried out geofencing that blocks bets from people in states where sports betting is illegal.

There's no chance Missouri will legalize sports betting before the end of the NFL regular season (the Legislature meets on January 3rd), and unless the General Assembly moves faster than it's currently known, it probably won't have sports betting in place by the next Super Bowl (February 11th).

For the past two years, the state's casinos and major league teams have been lobbying hard for a sports betting bill that would split the market. A key element would be to require online providers to partner with sports teams or casino operators to offer their services in the Missouri market.

Sports wagering

The failure of the bill, which has passed multiple times in the Missouri House but died in the Senate, has led Missouri sports franchises to prepare a solo initiative. Major League Baseball, NFL, Major League Soccer and National Women's Soccer League franchises will decide in early December which of 12 proposals to put forward for signatures, Whittle said.

"We've always said we want a legislative solution to this," he said. "We're not super optimistic that that's going to happen. I mean, we've seen that movie so many times."

Some of the proposed initiatives would allow casinos to obtain sports betting licenses. Others would only allow the Missouri Gaming Commission to grant gambling licenses to sports teams or online operators.

Casinos still holding out hope for legislation weren't involved in crafting the initiatives, according to Mike Winter, a lobbyist for the Missouri Gaming Association, a trade group that represents the state's 13 casinos.

"We're hoping the Legislature moves forward and gets a sports betting bill through the General Assembly."

Since the Supreme Court struck down a federal law banning sports betting nationwide in 2018, sports betting has been legalized in all states bordering Missouri except Oklahoma.

Sports betting in Missouri promises to be a market that will attract at least as much money as the lottery and casinos spend each year. The Missouri Lottery sold $1. 8 billion in tickets each of the past three years, and casinos took in $1. 9 billion from players in the fiscal year that ended June 30.

Kansas recorded $1. 85 billion in wagers in its first year of legalized sports betting. While many of those were Missourians crossing state lines, the number of state sports betting accounts opened in the first few months was equivalent to a quarter of the Kansas adult population.

The Kansas coffers received $7 million in tax revenue from sports betting. According to a fiscal note summary of the four sports betting initiatives approved for distribution, Missouri would receive between $6. 4 million and $26. 7 million in tax revenue by the fourth year of implementation.

State Sen. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, has opposed a standalone sports betting bill. The problem, he says, is that it would bring in a lot of money for the operators and very little for the state.

"Well, they look at the total volume, but when you look at the tax revenue that actually comes into the sportsbooks, it's not that much," Hoskins said.

Sports betting advocates will again oppose any effort to tie the legalization of video lottery games to the passage of sports betting, Winter said.

"Our opinion has always been that sports betting and video lottery and that kind of thing should be separate discussions, and that remains true," Winter said.

The state's potential revenue from video lottery games in bars, truck stops and veterans and fraternity halls is estimated to be five times greater than the highest estimates for sports betting initiatives. A bill Hoskins introduced this year would have provided $126. 7 million annually for the lottery fund and about $30 million more for other funds.

At that level of revenue, $2. 3 billion would be spent on gaming. If legalized, it would pay out at least 85% of the money wagered; the state would cover the remaining 36%.

Games would be played in a completely enclosed room separate from other establishments and off-limits to anyone under 21.

Video gaming

One of the limitations of Hoskins' bill is that it would not allow video lottery games in convenience stores or other retail establishments, including brick-and-mortar gaming parlors.

It's unclear how many of these games there are, and how much money is spent, but it's clear that thousands, if not tens of thousands, are operating across the state.

Operators argue that the games are legal because pre-release features allow players to see if their next play will be a winner before they put their money down. In a lawsuit that was dismissed, patrol lawyers argued that the games are illegal gambling devices because they lure players into thinking that their next play might be a winner.

For Senate Majority Leader Cindy O'Laughlin, R-Shelbina, it was news that a brick-and-mortar parlor with pre-release games had opened in her district in Moberly.

"That's wrong. If you're running a casino, everything you need to do to be legal is written here, and you're just letting it run rampant everywhere.

Taking on the gray market is a tough job. Former Senate President Dave Schatz was thwarted in efforts to outlaw the gaming in 2021 and 2022, despite being the top legislative leader.

"You need someone who's going to take it on and push it hard," O'Loughlin said.

Arnold said the court case left the gaming in limbo, allowing Torch and others to argue their games are legal.

But the end of the Highway Patrol case could spur a wave of enforcement, he said.

"If the patrols start coming out and making seizures again like they did before, it might spur the guys who are running the shady games to try to get the Legislature to make changes, either A, to make the gaming legal, or B, to stop the patrols or state agencies from doing anything about the gaming," Arnold said.

Warrensburg has a standalone gaming venue similar to the Moberly store and run by the same retailer.

"I don't think the mini-casinos are something voters approved," he said. "I'm concerned about what kind of machines are going to be there and how the owners believe that a business that only has video poker and slot machines is legal under the Missouri Constitution and Missouri law."

In a game with a high prize of what kind of gambling is legalized and who runs it, each player except the main sports team has already thrown a large chip mountain.

Since the start of 2022, casinos have a $ 267, 077 political donation through the Missouri Ethics Committee, and many have been reported to the PAC managed by the Missouri Gaming Association. Illinois video game companies, whose video lottery is legal, has donated $ 551, 875.

Torch Electronics and Walenton Oil, which failed to sue Missouri's highway patrol, have donated $ 740, 012, many of them are managed by Torch lobbyist Steve Tilly.

Political bets

Professional sports teams are not important donors. For the past two years, there was no donation with Curnals as a donation. Kansas City Chiefs has donated $ 15, 000 to the Republican Committee to support legislative candidates ($ 10, 000 last year), and this year $ 5, 000 to the Democratic Party Committee for the same purpose.

However, the sports team will invest millions of dollars to collect signatures and promote voting initiatives. Whitle says the team is preparing for the expense.

"As a company with a long history in Missouri, I think it's a way to increase the relationship with fans," said Wittle.

Whether the casino is useful is unknown, depending on the wording presented to voters.

The conflict between players means that preventing opponents' plans is as important as victory.

Arnold will continue to stagger, because sports gambling supporters will not agree with video lottery.

"Our attitude is to do what we can do to stop what you want, as long as you keep such an attitude," he said.

Oraflin says the only rational way to break the deadlock is to gather and solve stakeholders.

"If you want to accomplish something, you have to sit with everyone and think about the way to move forward, rather than exaggerated, but" but other untrained machines have appeared here and there. It's quite difficult to say that you shouldn't set up a lottery device device while turning your eyes away. "

Hoskins said that he was ready to talk with any player and did so in the past.

"Every year, I hope everyone will return to sane and have a good compromise," says Hoskins.

The problem is that during the negotiations, a group or another group declares that the proposal is unacceptable. Hoskins says that stak e-related organizations should not decide the quality of the bill.

"I'm not a casino, not a professional sports team, a VLT company, no one else, but I have supported us, as a member of the Senator, and we have voted rights," said Hoskins. "And we will eventually have a vote, we need to achieve everything and pass a bill that takes into account a problematic obsessive gambler.

Missouri has a long history of gambling in the state, and in 1984, the Show Me State approved the stat e-owned lottery. Like many other states adjacent to the Mississippi River, Missouri decided to legalize a reversal boat casino in 1992. As a result, Missouri became one of the first Mids and West states that approved any kind of casino gambling.

This decision has established the Missouri Gaming Commission. The committee was established to regulate the state revers o-boat casinos. The first two casino boats were officially sailed in 1994, and the first legal casino gambling in Missouri was held.

Missouri gaming commissions still exist. The committee has supervised all the gambling in the state, from reversboat casinos to Daily Fantasy Sports Contests.

Like casino gambling, daily fantasy sports have not been provided for a long time in Missouri. It changed in 2016, and the DFS contest provided by various thir d-party operators was legalized and regulated.

This is an important part of the ongoing process for the legalization of Sportsbetting in Missouri, and the lower house bill 2320, a Place Holder, used to start discussions on sports betting in the state. He proposed an idea that DFS operators would allow sports betting to the service menu.

In Missouri, to p-notch bookmakers such as Fanduel and Draftkings have provided DFS platforms, and the idea of adding sports betting can only be said to be reasonable.

However, the House of Representatives 2320 was just the first attempt to legalize sports betting in Missouri. Nearly four years have passed, but Missouri members have been considering options to realize early.

Good question. Lawmakers have been trying to legalize sports betting for a few years now, but it hasn't happened yet. A new bill was introduced in early 2024 and there was some early momentum, but we remain skeptical that legalization will happen in 2024.

The road to legalizing sports betting in Missouri officially began in January 2018. House Bill 2320 was introduced by Representative Bart Corman in the 99th state legislature. The purpose of the bill was to jumpstart the story of legal sports betting in Missouri.

What is the legal age to bet on sports in Missouri?

If approved, HB 2320 would allow individuals or entities licensed to operate recreational gambling boats to also offer sports betting.

2018: Sports betting conversation begins

The bill also floats the idea of allowing daily fantasy sports providers like DraftKings and FanDuel to add sports betting to their menu of offerings. The first version of HB 2320 does not go into details about licenses, fees, or taxes.

In February 2018, a new, unnamed Missouri sports betting bill was introduced. It was pushed by Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association. The two leagues hoped to receive a 1% integrity fee on each bet as well as gain data rights.

Later that month, two bills called the "Comprehensive Missouri Sports Betting and Sports Protection Act" were introduced by state Senator Denny Hoskins (Senate Bill 1013) and state Representative Dean Plocher (House Bill 2535).

Both bills would authorize sports betting on Missouri's riverbanks and online, and comply with MLB and NBA requirements regarding league data management and receipt of integrity fees. Both bills also include a 12% tax on adjusted gross revenues and a 2% administrative fee on the Gaming Commission Fund.

Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association get involved

In March, a few weeks after each of the aforementioned bills seemed to stall a bit, lawmakers added new sports betting language to an existing video gaming-centric bill, Senate Bill 767.

The amended bill describes how existing casinos will handle sports betting, including the introduction of retail books at these locations. It also details the application process for obtaining a license. If passed, SB767 would include:

A $10, 000 application fee

A $5, 000 annual renewal fee

The same 12% tax rate

  • A 2% administrative fee.
  • Unfortunately, the new SB767 did not make it to a Missouri House Budget Committee hearing in April, which considered three separate bills, including the original House Bill 2320.
  • Dean Plocher's HB 2535, one half of the Comprehensive Missouri Sports Betting and Sports Protection Act, will also be reviewed along with the new House Bill 2406. HB 2406, introduced by Rep. Justin Alferman, calls for a 6. 25% tax rate on sports betting revenues, as opposed to the 12% rate proposed by HB 2535.
  • Both HB 2406 and HB 2535 would allow mobile sports betting, provided players register for an account in person.

Movement stalls, Greitens controversy to blame

The hearing ended without an agreement, leaving the debate on the table. After a quiet few weeks, Corman addressed the sexual assault allegations against Governor Eric Greitens.

It was part of the reason the bill was unlikely to pass before the May 18 deadline. In the end, he was right. The bill did not pass, officially closing any hopes of legalizing sports betting in Missouri in 2018.

Plocher remained persistent, saying in November 2018 that he expected the Missouri sports betting debate to pick up steam again when the House and Senate resumed session in January 2019.

A few days later, Hoskins prefiled another bill for 2019. This bill would cut the proposed 1% integrity fee in half, to 0. 5%, and redirect all revenue to an "Entertainment Facilities Infrastructure Fund" that would put money toward improvements to the state's convention centers and recreational facilities.

Aside from this caveat, Hoskins' new bill was essentially a carbon copy of SB1013.

Two new bills at the end of the year

A prefiled sports betting bill, House Bill 119, sponsored by Rep. Cody Smith, also flew under fire in December 2018.

Smith's bill adds a large twist to the league usage fee mentioned above, with a 0. 75 % usage fee for the professional league for a bet on at least one FBS Football Team or Division I Men's Basketball Team. The NCAA was imposed a 0. 25 % usage fee.

The bill also said that the royalties received by public universities were "only used for athletics compliance," and presented a much lower tax amount of 6. 25 % of the coordinated total income.

In the Missouri's 2019 legislative meeting, three bills were distributed and the curtain began: Hoskins SB 44, Smith's HB 119, and Lincoln Huff's new Senate's new Senate bill 222.

SB222, a member of the Senator Huff, had good results in front of the Senate Economic Development Committee. The bill was opposed by the professional league. Huff's Huh Huff's Senate Bill 222, a House of Representatives, was also submitted at this time, and the second reading was held immediately.

The HB 119, which was pr e-submitted by Smith in December 2018, has been modified to include 0. 6 % "admission and facility infrastructure fees", and permit up to three online "skin" per license holder. Will be. The House General Law Committee has passed it 7 to 3, and the HB 119, which legalizes Missouri's sports betting, will move to the House of Representatives in the future.

2019: Key issues halt progress

The days flowed with almost no progress. In October 2019, the Gaming Committee of the Missouri House of Representatives held a hearing on sports betting, DFS, and lottery terminals.

The important issues were discussed as a league consistency fee and whether the players could register online online, both seemed to be the process of the process.

Missouri's sports, because members of the Gaming Special Committee who attended five hearing on sports betting at the end of 2019, sports betting will be legalized in the other 18 states by 2020. He believed that the reluctant attitude to the establishment of a betting bill would eventually harm Missouri.

Hearings

On December 1, 2019, a 2020 prior application window was held, and immediately submitted a Senate of Hoskins, a Senate bill 567 and a Senator Tony Routekemeier, a Senate bill 754. Both drafts also called for mobile sports betting throughout Missouri, royalties paid to the professional league and NCAA, and data obligations.

We acknowledge both drafts and remote registration, but vary greatly in terms of tax and commission:

On January 30, Missouri's 2020 legislative session, Dan Shawl's House of Representatives, House of Representatives, passed through the Special Committee of the House of Representatives in the state, passing through the Special Committee on the State. This bill is trying to legalize both retail and online sports betting in the state, with 0. 25 % royalties to the professional league and NCAA, 9 % of sports betting income, and official league data requirements. It was included. In HB2088, sports betting businesses need to pay $ 25, 000 to apply for a sports betting license in Missouri, $ 50, 000 to get a license, and $ 10, 000 every five years. 。 In addition to sports betting, HB2088 has also dealt with the video treasure terminal.

2020: Pandemic looms large

About a month later, on February 26, the Council began discussions on the current progress of the current league data.

Smith, the original sponsor of the HB119 Sports Betting bill, has announced the House of Representatives 284 at a hearing. The bill was originally obliged that sports books pay 0. 25 % royalties to MGCs for "sports events held by registered sports management organizations."

The House of Representatives Smith attended the Special Committee of the Missouri House of Representatives with Republican, Republican Congress, who submitted the House of Republican bill 2318.

The HB 2318 did not include the provisions of the official league data, proposed a 6. 75 % tax rate for sports betting revenue, and was deliberated by the committee with the intention of integrating HB 2284.

Unfortunately for the Missouri residents, the trends of the COVID-19 have been affected, and the possibility that the members of the Diet will establish a sports betting bill in 2020 have disappeared.

By December 2020, Hoskins (Senate Bill 18) and Luetokmeer (Senate Bill 217) have submitted their sports betting bills to the parliament in 2021 in advance. The third bill is the Senate of Senator Caleb Roden, a Senate bill 256.

All of these three bills are linked to real stores in Missouri, legalizing retail and mobile sports betting on the condition that the Missouri Gaming Committee is supervised.

Like many bills that the state had competed, the three bills were different in terms of continuous issues over application fees, tax rates, royalty, and official league data.

Three new bills filed in December

In February 2021, the Missouri Congress discussed the sports betting bills submitted by Hoskins, Luetokmeers and Roden. The Missouri Gaming Committee had a favorable attitude to Roden's SB256.

Hoskins took control of the parliament in most of the hearing and asked about 6. 75 % of Louden's bill.

Provides royalties to the professional league and obliges the use of official league data. The Missouri Gaming Committee seems to have opposed them. Unfortunately for Hoskins, SB98 failed to vote in the Senate. This is no longer likely to be approved in 2021.

2021: Hoskins prepares loaded super-bill

In late July, it was reported that Hoskins had already prepared a larg e-scale sports betting and gaming bill before the prior submission deadline on December 1, aiming for legalization in 2022.

Hoskins's super bills include sports betting, horse racing, slot machines in places other than casinos, and betting to ESPORTS.

Congress Hoskins and Dan Shawl are one of the main reasons that Missouri needs to act quickly, listing the adjacent states that legalize sports betting, and similar to Hoskins SB98. Each bill will be submitted.

These two bills, mainly in 2022, include retail gambling at existing casinos, digital sports betting throughout the state, and reasonable tax rates and fees. The topic to be discussed is as follows:

The debate continued

As soon as the calendar changed in December, the first sports betting bill in 2022 was submitted by Representative Christopheri. He submitted the House of Representatives 2318 two years ago. The lower house bill 1666 sets the tax rate to 6. 75 % and does not require a league data. In addition, a sports control organization can prohibit specific events and bet types as needed.

Licensei charges $ 50, 000 and $ 20, 000 administrative fees. In order to guarantee that the license is valid, a 20, 000 dollar renewal fee will be charged.

The Missouri Gaming Committee will supervise all operations. Thir d-party commercial operators need to partner with existing gambling boats in the state to provide online gambling.

The fifth sports betting bill in Missouri was submitted at the end of December. Shaul's HB 2080 requires digital gambling in the entire state that does not require fac e-t o-face registration.

The application fee is $ 50, 000 and the tax rate is 6. 75 %. You can bet on professionals, universities, amateurs, and esports. However, the condition is that a sports organization has the right to prohibit or prohibit a specific market.

In January, the Missouri six professional sports teams and Casino Opelators united to support proposals that enable the entire state mobile betting related to existing retail stores.

In this bill, Royals, Chiefs, Blues, St. Louis City SC, and Kansas City Current will receive online skin or mobile platforms, respectively. Casino operators have the right to obtain three online skins per personally owned, and a total of six are limited. Taxes are set to 10 %, and contracts include official league data obligations.

Hoskins remains determined despite missing out on 2022

Senator Dan Hegman and Senator Luetokemeer have submitted a similar layout bill for the proposal of the professional team and the casino operator. Hegeman's SB1046 and Luetoke Mire SB1061 have a retail license application fee of $ 50, 000 and the digital license application fee is $ 100, 000. As a result, the team will be able to do the following:

Build a sports area around the stadium;

Appointed the Missouri Gaming Committee as a director;

Set the tax rate to 10 %;

Acknowledge the use of league official data for specific bets.

Hoskins has been promoting this super group plan because he has been supporting Sports Betting for many years, and has been promoting to install a lottery terminal in the state in which many other people oppose. He expressed concern.

In late February, a discussion was held at the Missouri House of Representatives. Two new bills, HB2502 and HB2556, were the center of the debate. The tax rate of both bills was 10 %, compared to 15 % of neighboring Illinois states, and was rebelled by members of the committee.

In early March, the Missouri House of Representatives was integrated into one HB 2502 and HB 2556 by the House of Representatives Public Policy Special Committee, and made a bill known as HB 2502. A revision was added to the bill to raise the commitment to gambling and responsible gambling from $ 250, 000 to $ 500, 000, and the committee was convinced.

In this amendment, the evaluation of promotional play was also modified, and the first year was 100 % reduction, and for the next five years, it was gradually reduced.

Amendment draft 3 passed the committee with the integrated proposal and was sent to the House of Representatives. Nevertheless, Both Scott Cups and Vice Chairman Dotti Bailey continued to express concerns about the plan.

Capsula discussed the possibility of providing more funds for the gambling and responsible gambling. He also raised the proposed tax rate by 10 % and discussed continuous issues over outside the cost of use.

Bally Bet

At the end of the month, Missouri House of Representatives approved HB 2502 and HB 2556 and submitted to the Senate for further deliberations. With the support of a series of Missouri casinos and professional sports teams, the bill is possible with mobile gambling and retail gambling in existing rea l-stor e-type casinos, which is quite low.

Hoskins continued to oppose the low tax rate. Hoskins suggested that his 21 % tax rate could generate more funds through the state education system.

FanDuel

In early April, a fierce controversy was held between Kansas and Missouri. Kansas City Chiefs became the main topic. The representatives of the team did all the time to deny rumors of relocation from Missouri to Kansas.

They said the franchise is committed to its current lease at Arrowhead Stadium, which will run for at least another nine years.

DraftKings

The talks came after the Kansas Legislature added an amendment to its sports betting bill that would have dedicated 80% of tax revenues to attracting professional sports franchises to the state.

In late April, HB2552, a bill sponsored by Rep. Dan Hawkes and backed by Missouri sports teams and casinos, was placed on the Senate's "Informal Calendar for Perfect" after the General Accounting and Financial Oversight Committee marked the bill as "passed."

If approved, the bill would increase the tax rate by 8% and add additional problem gambling and liability language.

Later that week, Hoskins put an end to two sports betting bills he disagreed with, filibustering for four hours in front of a nearly empty Senate chamber. In the end, the biggest advocate for sports betting in Missouri for many years ended up being its biggest obstacle. This was largely because the proposed initiative did not involve video lottery terminals as demanded by Hoskins.Instead of killing the bill, Hoskins introduced 153 amendments to the House, arguing that the state would lose $1 million in tax revenue if sports betting were legalized without the introduction of video lottery terminals.
In a shocking development, on the evening of the 9th day before the end of the session, a separate sports betting bill was presented to the stakeholders. This bill would have provided for a 15% tax rate, a $1. 25 million annual fee per skin, three skins per casino company (with a six skin cap) and one skin per professional sports team. The bill did not include Hoskins' full legalization of video lottery terminals. This bill would have allowed players to place parlays at lottery outlets in the state.Shortly after the talks concluded, Hoskins announced on Twitter that he had attempted to pass a sports betting bill that night, but had ultimately "met with resistance" and was unable to get it through. After being pressed by Senator Bill White about his various concerns, Hoskins decided to withdraw his amendment and go back to square one.

The Kansas City Chiefs were founded in 1959 by AFL charter member Lamar Hunt as the Dallas Texans. The team was renamed to its current name in 1963 when it moved to the city. This was in 1962, a year after Dallas won its first AFL championship.

The franchise won the second AFL title in 1966 and won the title in 1969. Before the merger of AFL and NFL in 1970, it was the last victory in AFL history. After the 1966 AFL championship, Chiefs lost to Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl I.

In the early 1990s, he achieved great success and advanced to the playoffs in seven seasons from 1990 to 1997, led by Marty Shoten Heimer.

Nevertheless, the only team led by the Shoten Hymer broke through the Divisional round, and lost 30-13 to Buffalo Bills in the 1994 AFC championship. This was the beginning of the dark era for the organization, with zero playoffs from 1994 to 2015.

KC all changed when the Texas Institute of Technology nominated Patrick Mahams in the 2017 NFL draft.

2006 breakthrough

Since he became the starting quarterback of Chiefs in 2018, Mahams led Chiefs to the Super Bowl in 2020, 2021, and 2023, and has won 20 and 23 years.

Republican presidential candidate Nicky Haley has a bad reputation.

Relatively, at least.

In response to a question about the cause of the Civil War, "It was basically how the government is operated, freedom, and what people should do, and what to do." I answered. Later, at another town hall meeting, she grew up in the southern part, saying that the slavery was "very talked about" and tried to reduce damage. "I thought of slavery as a past and talked about the lessons we could learn in the future. I shouldn't have done that."

However, compared to the former President's remarks on the Civil War during the election campaign in Iowa, Haley sounded like a Harvard University honor student, a rose scholar, and a Nobel history award winner:

The Civil War was very attractive. It was very scary, very scary, but very attractive. But it was very attractive. I really like seeing it. There were many mistakes. To be honest, I think I was able to negotiate. I should have negotiated. Many people died. It was a catastrophe. If you receive a bullet in your legs, you will basically die or lose your legs. So there were many people without legs and arms. If you are hit by your arms and legs, you will lose your life for infectious diseases and gangrene. But,. I thought I was reading a book, but this was something that was decided in negotiations. That war is malicious, vicious, in many ways ... But it was tough for Japan. But I think it's like Abraham Lincoln. If you were able to negotiate, you would probably not even know who was Abraham Lincoln. But he would have become the president. He wouldn't have been Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln would have been another person. But that was still good. But that was good. I know all the processes they have experienced.

"It's tough for Japan ... Age like hell"

I read such a brilliantly ignorant sentence since I was in the first year of junior high school and when I took a composition test on the first chapter of a social studies textbook that I had neglected to read the previous week.

negotiation? After Missouri's compromise (he knows what it is), negotiations for 40 years could not be prevented. Certainly, it was tough for Japan. However, it ended slavery, and the former president did not mention it.

Trump's illiteracy is legendary - he won't even read a detailed national security report while he's in office. Whenever I watch him deliver a tense message from a teleprompter, I worry about whether he can read. He clearly hasn't mastered the art first proclaimed by the great American philosopher George Burns.

He's known to read himself well. But you can't expect him to know anything about the Civil War, the framers of the Constitution, or the meaning of the Declaration of Independence. He probably doesn't know the meaning of Martin Luther King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail, and it's almost terrifying to imagine him reading out loud anything from Shakespeare to the lyrics of Le Miz.

That's why he can't understand almost any topic - and for some reason, some people think that his universal illiteracy should be the template for the American mentality.

When he claims to "know the whole process they went through" while the Civil War boils down to discourse on missing arms and legs, it's hard to ignore the fact that this "genius of stability" is an intellectually empty vessel that enjoys his own brain echoes.

Is the former president really the best Lincoln negotiator?

It is hard to look at what remains of the Missouri Senate and not be ashamed of how far governance has fallen there. The Senate, once proud of its role as a bipartisan deliberative body—it used to be said, “The House passes the bills; the Senate writes the laws.”—is in total disarray because a few members will go to no ends to get their ways although it is abundantly clear their only support is themselves. We remember when the Rs and the Ds could argue as if it was Gabriel versus Satan on the floor but with respect and civilit y.

by Bob Priddy, Missourinet Contributing Editor

2 days left until February. As February draws to a close, men will be playing baseball again, drivers in brightly decorated cars will be racing in circles at breakneck speed, and the frozen souls of sports fans will be feeling their first warmth.

(CHIEFS)-A season-long work in progress is one game away from completion. After two weeks of hype, the AFC's third-place Kansas City Chiefs will face the NFC's first-place San Francisco Giants in the Super Bowl, a name coined by the Chiefs and AFL founder Lamar Hunt.

Game management and bi g-time play in important situations were the key to KC. The chief dominated the ball for 20 minutes and 31 seconds out of the first 30 minutes, leaving a dynamic Ravens Offense on the side line until 17-7 was built. Justin Tucker scored a 4 3-yard field goal in the remaining 2 minutes and 37 seconds. It was just before Patrick Mahames passed 32 yards passed through 32 yards to Marquez Valdes Scantling.

Travis Kels and Mahames were perfect with 11 times, 11th, 116 yards, and the first touchdown in the game. Kelus has updated Jerry Rice's most pla y-off records and lined up with 100 yard receives in eight playoffs.

After all, Chiefs has participated in the fourth Super Bowl for the first time in five years, and 49ERS has returned to the major stage since the 2020 Super Bowl 54 lost 31-20. The last team played in October 2020, at that time, the Chiefs won three touchdowns.

(MIZ) -Missouri basketball has created the result of 0 wins and 0 losses in the conference season, and the story is almost rich. Perhaps they are waiting for the peak at the conference tournament.

He lost 72-64 to South Carolina and lost 0 wins and 7 losses at the conference.

This time, Tigers tried an inside game instead of the three (only tried eight and only two could be decided). South Carolina has 17 fouls and 14 points, and Missouri gets 16 in South Carolina with 18 fouls.

South Carolina scored 14 points in 17 fouls. In the remaining 2 minutes and 28 seconds, we approached 5 points, but only one field goal was subsequent.

(MIZZ-D) -Kaolie Batoon, a new defense coordinator, has been appointed as the American football team. Introducing his career: The school lost 22 wins and 16 losses, reducing his opponent's scores in the first half of the game. The number of 3rd down the opponent's 3rd is 169/513, and the 4th down acquisition is 33/70.

(MIZZ $) -Mu's athletic department reported that it used all except $ 1, with a income of about $ 141. 6 million in FY2022. This is the number obtained from NCAA.

This amount does not include the amount donated to the "collector". Misso collected $ 7. 1 million for this program. Only Mississippi State University was less than this. Expensive taxpayers are not surprising: LSU201 million, Georgia $ 18. 3 million, Alabama $ 16 million, Florida $ 15. 8 million. (Zo047)

(Two weeks until the start of the spring camp. Royals and Cardinals pitchers and catchers will appear on the 14th, and pitchers and catchers will appear on the 19th. The first match is the 22nd.

Cardinals avoided mediation with a tw o-year contract with Tommy Edmond, and signed a contract with the expectation of former Houston Lilyber, Josh James. James was enrolled in Houston for four seasons, but was injured. He is 30 years old, pitched in 87 games in Astros from 2018 to 2010, struck out 34. 2 % of the batters, 13. 2 %, and the batters only hit . 204. However, for some reason, the ERA was 4. 64.

When we tried to report, Cardinals announced the reinforcement of the two. The first baseman / outfielder Alfonza Levus was nominated by Angels in Waver. Walking across Pirates, Guardians and Angels, the batting average last year was . 229. Currently 27 years old.

Royals has avoided mediation with Rick Anderson and Carlos Hernandez, the starting Kyle Wagner, Brady Singer, and Chris Bouvic. Adam Frejer second baseman, who became a free agent from Orioles, signed a on e-year contract. Veteran catcher Sandy Leon in the year has a minor contract. Royals is the eighth team for him. The lifetime batting average is . 208.

And the major motorsport season has begun.

(Daytona) -What won the championship in the 24-hour race just 2. 1 seconds from the second place machine? Porsche, owned by Roger Pensky, Pensky's 2023 Indianapolis 500 Winner Joseph New Garden Felipe Nasul (Cadillac, who drove the last leg and ruled the race in the last 40 minutes. Overlooked), Matt Campbell and Dave Cameron drive, first crossed the line.

For Pensky, it will be a 2 4-hour race since the team led by Mark Donohu 55 years ago won Laura.
