What is a public warning?
Warnings identify and provide information about:
- Unsatisfactory goods, or goods supplied in an unsatisfactory manner, and people who supply them
- Unfair trade practices and people who have engaged in them
- Any other matters that have adversely affected, or may adversely affect, people who receive goods or services from the supplier.
These warnings are issued taking into account the circumstances of the case, the stage of the investigation, the parties involved, and in compliance with the Privacy Act.

Since August 2022, Tru Water Filters has been listed on NSW Fair Trading's public complaints register every month, receiving an average of 36 complaints per month.
The complaints received relate to prepaid online orders and include concerns such as:
- Delays in receiving ordered goods
- Products not being delivered
- Duplicate charges for products and credit card details being stored.
- Products have been misrepresented.
- Ordered goods are substituted for other products, which are often not genuine or of lower value or quality.
The Commissioner has previously issued public warnings to businesses using the same website on 20 March 2019, 29 July 2022 and 4 June 2023.

Mr. jaber offers housing and commercial cleaning services throughout Sydney, including the leas e-term cleaning service that advertises a lease guarantee that it has a lease refund guarantee.
Since 2019, NSW Fair Trading has received 83 complaints and 17 inquiries about the abov e-mentioned business operated by MR Jaber.
In 2023, Fair Trading, New South Wales, reported that the cleaning service paid to MR Jaber was not provided, not provided within the agreement, or not completed at a satisfactory level. I received 34 inquiries. Most consumers report that JABER did not provide payment certificates such as tax invoices and receipts.
