Yes, sports betting in Arizona is legal. 16 different online sportsbooks have been approved and regulated for the Grand Canyon residents. On September 7, 2021, the first day of legal sports betting in Arizona has arrived.
Arizona's Sports Betting Bill, HB2772, was finally signed in April 2021, and preparations have been taken for several years. The following month, seven sportsbooks started business. This bill stipulates that up to 20 mobile sports betting licenses are given in the state: 10 existing tribal casinos and 10 specialized organizations. Each license holder can provide up to two online skin and one retail sportsbook.
How to Get Started
Registering in a sportsbook in Arizona and doing a bed, there are several different steps in the process. Here are some guides for beginners:
- Choose a legally approved sports book, as recommended on this page. It may seem natural, but there are many unlicensed offshore sites that accept players living in Arizona. These should be avoided! These are not legal in the United States, and your funds and personal information are not legally protected.
- Account creation: All sports books in Arizona are required to collect the same information about customers, so the sig n-up process is almost the same no matter which book you choose. You need your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, address, and SSN.
- Receive a welcome bonus: Before signing up, read the explanation in advance so that you can't get the welcome bonus. Depending on the site, you may need a promo code to unlock the bonus. Details are described in this site review.
- Payment: Once your account is opened, head to the cashier. Usually, you can choose from various payment methods. Remember that you need to deposit a certain amount to get a bonus.
- First Bet: You can search for your favorite sports from the menu and check out various games and betting markets. Once the bed is decided, add (click) to the virtual bet slip, enter the bet and determine the bet.

The Sports Book has a variety of welcome bonuses for players to have new users sign up and try the site. The following is the most common welcome bonus.
Bonus Bet Bonuses
Instead of signing up and doing the first bet, the sportsbook provides a free bonus bed for you. The bonus bet is basically like a betting voucher. If you win the bonus bet, you can receive only prize money, not a bet + prize money like a normal bet.
The prize earned by the bonus bet has other conditions to be aware of, such as expiration date and betting conditions.
Second Chance Bets
In the Second Chance Bet, if the first bet is unsuccessful, the sportsbook will be refunded to a certain amount. This is like a free shot to start a betting trip. Refund is performed in a bonus bet or site credit, not a normal cash that can be withdrawn. Therefore, it is often subject to betting conditions. Caesars and Draftkings provide this type of bonus.
Deposit Match Bonuses
In this case, the sports book is doubled the amount of money to a certain amount, so that the more you use it, the higher the bonus value. The matching bonus is always provided as a bonus bet or site credit. Desert Diamond offers a 100%match bonus up to $ 250.
No Deposit Bonuses
This bonus is a kind of bonus provided by a sportsbook, and you do not need to use your own funds. Usually, this is provided in a single bonus bet or a small site credit. Desert Diamond offers a bonus of $ 25 without deposits as part of the welcome package.

What Betting Markets Are Available in Arizona?
Arizona has a deep and diverse sports betting market comparable to other top sportsbets in the United States, such as New Jersey and Nevada. Currently, there are 13 kinds of sportsbooks that are open for Arizona residents, and this level of competition is only good for the diversity of beds that can be used by ordinary people.
The following are the main types of betting seen in Arizona.
Money Line
A bet to the money line simply predicts which one wins, and the dividend is determined by the odds. The following is an example:
- San Antonio Spurs (+245)
- Phoenix Sands (-305)
In the money line bed, a negative team is advantageous. If you are the first to understand betting or odds, it will be easier to explain if you consider it in $ 100. Here, SUN odds need to bet $ 305 to get $ 100, and the payout is $ 405. In the case of Spurs, $ 100 beds get $ 245 and the total payout is $ 345.
Betting money lines is the easiest and most popular betting.
Point Spreads
In point spreads, you bet on the winning rate, not which one wins or loses. The sportsbook sets point spreads between each team, which indicates the difference between the two teams.
Let's look at the same line again:
- San Antonio Spurs +7. 5 (-110)
- Phoenix Sand s-7. 5 (-110)
Here, to bet on Sands and win, you need to win with an over eight points. On the other hand, in order to win a bed to Spurs, it is only necessary to avoid losing at an eigh t-point difference, and it is enough to win the bed even if you lose seven points.
In the case of a point spread bed, the odds usually start aroun d-110.
Totals
The total bed is a bet to the total score scored in the game. The sportsbook can set a line and bet the total score or under the total.
It will be as follows:
San Antonio Spurs vs Phoenix Sands
- Over 226. 5 (-110)
- Under 226. 5 (-110)
Prop Bets
Propbet is a bed for events that occur during the game, including those that do not necessarily have a major impact on the results. Generally, it is divided into two types: team prop and player prop.
Examples of propbets include NFL paths, lashing yards, NHL field goals, and NBA rebounds. All of these markets are generally provided to both individual players and the entire team.
The prop market is as follows:
Victor Wenbaniamatal Point
- 16. 5 points or more (-110)
- Under 16. 5 (-110)
Parlays
Palle is simply a way to combine different bets. It is also known as an accumulator. In order to beat Pallay, each leg must be correct. You can create a parley simply by adding a different bed to the bet slip.
There are various types of parles, and teaser is one of them.
Futures
Futures are not one game, but to bet on events determined at one point in the future. Usually, futures are not every game, but to bet on winners of the tournament. Super Bowls, Stan Lakeup, Golf Masters, and Tennis's US Open winners are all examples of futures.
Live Betting
Live betting or Impreveting can be betting on live games and is legal in Arizona. The odds change every moment depending on the development of the game, and the timing is often the same.
Arizona's sportsbooks generally have separate live sections and contain the latest information on live stats and various games. In some cases, you can live streaming the game with a video fade.
What Can’t You Bet On in Arizona?
Arizona's sports gambling has the following restrictions:
- High school sports cannot be bet in Arizona.
- High school sports cannot be bet in Arizona. University sports can be betting in general, but props for university players and teams are prohibited.
- If you are a sports organization as a professional, you cannot bet on your own sports. This includes players, coaches, referees, etc.

- Phoenix Suns - The Suns are widely considered one of the best franchises to never be NBA champions. They have three conference championships in history, 11 Hall of Famers, and two NBA MVPs in Charles Barkley and Steve Nash.
- Arizona Diamondbacks - They joined MLB as an expansion team in 1998, and became the youngest team in history to win the World Series in 2001, just three years later.
- Arizona Coyotes - In contrast to the Diamondbacks, the Coyotes are technically the oldest team to never win a championship. Founded in 1972 as the Winnipeg Jets, they moved to Arizona in 1996 to become the Coyotes.
- Phoenix Mercury - The Mercury became one of the WNBA's eight franchises in 1997 and have won three championships since then.
Arizona Sportsbook Partnerships
There are five major sports organizations in Arizona that have sponsorship agreements with betting companies.
In October 2023, DraftKings opened a retail sportsbook at the TPC Scottsdale golf complex, becoming the country's first sports betting location on a PGA Tour course. The luxury sportsbook includes dining facilities, a 3, 400-square-foot video wall, group rental space, and 32 betting kiosks.
The Arizona Coyotes partnered with SaharaBets to offer mobile betting in the state. The Arizona Cardinals have a similar partnership with BetMGM, and the Phoenix Suns have partnered with FanDuel to build a luxury sportsbook inside the Phoenix Suns Arena. Caesars has partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
How We Rated the Top Arizona Sports Betting Sites
Our strategy for rating the top Arizona sportsbooks is based on one core belief: we believe this is the only way to truly understand a site comprehensively, not just in terms of gleaning actionable information like bonus terms, but in a deeper sense, to get a feel for what makes each sportsbook special. The time we spend up front ultimately improves the experience for all our readers.
We ask our experts to investigate each of the following six areas for at least 2 hours before starting writing.
- User Experienc e-Every site has a unique feel, and the experience of doing the exact same bet can be completely different in two different sportsbooks. We take into account the design and beauty of the site, whether it is friendly to beginners, and the sense of operation when navigating various sections. We test this on multiple different devices to make sure that user experience is consistent on any platform.
- Functio n-Due to the specific sports and betting markets, live betting, mobile platforms, i n-house hints and betting guides.
- Promotio n-Welcome bonus deeply delves into a ste p-b y-step guide for new members to get bonuses, promotions, odd boosts, VIP programs, and other offers.
- Experts have tested the deposit and prize withdrawal method, taking into account the payment and withdrawa l-speed, access, fees, etc. Depending on the method, it may take several weeks to complete, but we do it.
- Customer Suppor t-Contact all sites about the same questions selected in advance and evaluate how quickly the answer is. I also spent at least an hour in the help and FAQ section, and examined various articles and how to display them.
- Responsible Gamblin g-We are the most important of responsible gambling and have a good feeling of sportsbooks on the site of links and telephone numbers to external support companies. We love seeing functions that help manage your play, such as reality check, payment/ consumption restriction, timeout, and sel f-exclusion.
After each review, our public leader teams check on a daily basis that our information is still up to date, and uses a total of 5 hours a month for reviews and sites.
